Under the Working Time Regulations 1998, workers should not usually work more than an average of 48 hours per week, calculated over the applicable reference period.
You may choose to opt out of this 48-hour weekly working limit. This means you agree that you may work more than an average of 48 hours per week if you wish to do so and if work is available. You are not required to opt out, and choosing not to opt out will not affect your registration with us or your eligibility for suitable assignments.
You may withdraw your opt-out at any time by giving written notice. The minimum notice period is 7 days, unless a longer notice period is agreed in writing, up to a maximum of 3 months.
